Silly boy!

The other night Dan decided that his diaper covers would make a great hat. He thought this was hilarious and we did too! Just had to capture it on film.

Coastal Path to Fish and Chips!

Last Saturday we took a bus to a small fishing village called St. Monans. It is right on the coast and about 2.5 miles from another fishing village, Anstruther. The coastal path to walk from one to the other is absolutely beautiful! We started our day early with a fish and chips lunch in Anstruther in mind (the restaurant there has received all kinds of awards for their fish and chips). Dan was rearing to go and would have tried to hike himself if we had let him. However, he got so interested in the small ledges in a parking lot that he went back and forth, and back and forth, and....well, you get the idea. So up in the backpack he went not knowing that there were plenty of coastal playgrounds in his future! On our walk, we passed through one other coastal town, Pittenween (love the names here!). Notice all of the colorful homes on the coast. We reached Anstruther just in time for lunch and boy, fish and chips has never tasted so good. We were all exhausted, but had a blast!

Sunday Hike

On Sunday morning before church, we decided to take a short hike along the coastal path from St. Andrews. The weather was absolutely beautiful, and we had such a good time. We hiked for about 30 minutes and the path led us down to the water where we took a break and soaked up some sun. We decided that we will definitely return for a picnic there soon! This first picture is of St. Andrews as we reached the top of the first big hill out of town. The beach that you see is just about 5 minutes from our home....we've been spoiled! Scotland is blooming all over these days. The yellow flowers that you see are coating the hillsides all over the place.

Tulsa Videos!

We all went to Jason and Laura's one night for some amazing ribs. He is the group at a glance. We really had a great time.

Tulsa!

Well, Dan and I just returned from a three week adventure to Tulsa. We had such a good time. One word sums up our trip: family. It was great! We saw lots of Jason, Laura and Katy. Dan loved following Katy around and Katy loved giving lots of hugs. They really were cute together. Here are the three of us...it must have been right after nap or before bed.

We had even more family come in for a long weekend. My Aunt Gail, Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Nan and Uncle Jerry came for three nights and it was so much fun to see them! Here are some of us on a beautiful day at the park. Shorts, can you believe it?!!! We haven't seen those since, well, August!
Katy up on Daddy's shoulders. Too cute.

I thought it was precious to see Dan walking with Aunt Nan. What a pair!

Dan and Katy....smile! Well, getting them to smile at the same time was definitely easier said than done.

The Zoo!!! We made it to the zoo and Dan loved it. It was his first time and it was so special to see his eyes light up at all the different animals. Look at my big man on the toroise! So brave :)

We saw a huge chimp right by the window.
