Tah-Dah!

I came back into the room the other day and Dan surprised me with this impressive tower that he built all by himself. I asked him to put his arms out and say "Tah-Dah!" and he did. I caught him in the act :)

Dan's walk to town and back!

Dan is walking more and more. He has alot of energy and can walk most of the way to town (when Mommy lets him :) He loves climbing on the fences and going up and down the curbs. He's our walking and running boy!

More Pittenweem!

Here are some more pictures of our trip to Pittenweem that I forgot to post. The town in on a large hill, so we hiked down to the harbor and back up to get some lunch.

ABC's

Dan is loving the ABC's. He hums the song all the time and loves it when we sing it to him. When he sees any words on a sign, he shouts out "B, D, E!" Recently he started filling in the blanks to the song when we leave letters out. I love it! We caught this video while Grandmommy was still here to sing the ABC's for us!

That's my boy...

Dan is approaching the age of two and it's hard to believe. I am about 27 weeks pregnant now and we're so excited about meeting this little boy. I will soon be very outnumbered as the only female in the house....I love it!

One of our Favorites!

We have taken my mom to one of our favorite places in St. Andrews several times this week...North Point! It's a coffee shop with great coffee and wonderful food. We usually meet Joe there once a week for lattes. Dan has a new love for bacon and actually used a fork to eat it this trip. We'll miss North Point.

More Grandmommy Fun!

We've continued to have a great time here with my mom. Earlier this week we took a bus to a small, coastal town called Pittenweem. We heard about a fun chocolate coffee shop there and thought we'd give it a try. It turned out that The Cocoa Tree was so much fun! We sat outside, drank mochachinos and ordered a wonderful lunch. Dan loved their soup and the bus rides to and from. We ended our outing with some chocolate cake. We loved our chocolate destination! :)

My mom is here!

My mom just arrived to St. Andrews and we're having a great time! Joe is in Texas right now for a great friend's wedding...congratulations Thomas and Amy, I wish I could be there!!! While Joe is away, my mom has come for some quality girl time and some fun with a certain toddler named Dan (perhaps I should have put that as the first priority!) We had a picnic at the cathedral ruins the other day and had a great time with all the other moms and kiddos. My mom was a great hit with all the kids and, really, can you find a better picnic spot than this?! We all loved it!

Picnics, Bubbles, and Tractors!

This summer has been so much fun here in St. Andrews. The weather has been wonderful and we've been soaking it up! We've had numerous picnics at St. Mary's in town. Apples seem to always be a park :)
Dan has a fun camera face these days. If I ask him to smile for a pic, he says, "Cheese!" and gives a big goofy grin. I caught him with lots of bubbles in the bathtub the other day. Bubbles have become a favorite of his.
Another favorite of Dan's these days is tractors. He LOVES them! Dan woke up from a nap the other day to find a tractor/digger right outside our house. We rushed him outside and to our surprise the workers told us to go ahead and put Dan inside. I ran in to grab the camera to catch the moment. Dan has talked about tractors non-stop since!

Happy 4th of July!

This morning we were blessed with yet another sunny day! We headed out to the beach bright and early and had a blast. Dan and Joe dug a pool that was just the right size for Dan. He loved it! We're back and resting this afternoon. We hope to grill some burgers tonight. Fun day!

Warm fuzzies!

Rain or Shine

Most of our weather has been sunny and much warmer lately. It was so warm the other day that Joe and Dan got waste deep in the water. BUT, as Scotland goes the rain still comes when you least expect it. Dan has new rain gear and loves to splash in the puddles.

Morning and Evening Crazies

These videos were taken during what can be Dan's most energetic times of the day...wake-up time and bedtime!
